Edinburgh Cricket Club is seeking a Senior Men's Head Coach

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Established in 1978, Edinburgh Cricket Club (ECC) is based at the historic Brunswick St Oval in the Edinburgh Gardens, former home of the Fitzroy Football Club and Bradman teammate Neil Harvey.

ECC is one of the largest cricket clubs in Victoria, supporting seven junior sides, eight senior men’s sides (including two veterans sides) and a premiership winning senior women’s side.

The Club also runs successful and growing Milo junior program on Saturday mornings, and has placed a huge emphasis in recent years on encouraging girls to come and play through local school and community networks.

Edinburgh has long prided itself on itself on being an inclusive, grass-roots organisation, with strong links to the community. For over thirty years Edinburgh has offered people from all backgrounds and abilities an opportunity to play cricket.

This commitment to inclusiveness continues with the Atherton Gardens Program. Run in conjunction with Victoria Police, Cricket Victoria, Yarra Council and the Bendigo Bank, Edinburgh runs a clinic every year for the children of the Atherton Gardens community housing complex on Brunswick/Gertrude streets. The Club also runs program for children with disabilities, with the long-term goal of integrating those kids into the regular junior clinic.

The Edinburgh Cricket Club continues to set an example for other community organisations, proudly maintaining level three accreditation with the Good Sports program run by the Australian Drug Foundation.

While financial and other challengers are always present, the Club works extremely hard on being successful on and off the field, and will do so for many years to come.

Please feel free to explore our site and if you would like to play, support or be a part of the club in anyway, please contact us.  We would love to hear from you.
